We are able to get a photo as a school. It takes place after the prize giving at about 1:00pm near the finish chute. We are first up so we can get it out of way and you can get off home. I will be sent the photo which I can make available to you.

What to do before you arrive at Jellie Park, Christchurch.
To make things easier for you we recommend you print out the pre event checklist. This has all the information that you need! It is a good idea to go through this the night before the event so that you have everything ready & know what to expect on event day!

Event Day
Before you leave home write the BIB NUMBER on your TRYathlete in permanent marker in the following positions;
Right arm – Right leg –
upper arm, slightly in front of the shoulder below the knee front on shin.
This is important as in the event of an accident it means we are able to identify your child & contact you via the mobile number you supplied during the registration process. It also means that if you have purchased photos, SuperSport Images will be able to identify & send you the correct photos after the event.
If the weather is not looking great, it is a good idea to check our facebook page before you leave home for any postponement or cancellation notices. Alternatively, listen to THE HITS 97.7FM for updates. It is very unlikely that the event will be cancelled; however in the interest of participant safety the course may be altered.
PARKING
There is public parking is available at Cobham Intermediate. Please use Sunningvale Lane entrance. Your $3 donation will help raise funds for the PTA.
Once you have parked head straight to the blue CHECK IN* tents at Transition with the bike & all your gear. You do not need to go to the ADMIN Tent (unless you need to change t shirt size or have questions regarding registration). Your child will receive an ARENA Swim Cap when you CHECK IN*.

Transition is where it all happens! It is the change over point from swim gear to cycle gear and then again from cycle gear to running.
INDIVIDUAL ENTRY:
Individuals, doing swim, bike and run, will need to take everything that they need for the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon into Transition & leave it with the bike. Bikes will be lined up by age group – just look for the coloured flag that matches the colour of the bib number & swim cap. You can help your child in transition & there are also plenty of HELP TEAM volunteers to assist you or your child if you have any questions.
When TRYathletes leave transition they leave everything with their bike except for their swim cap, togs (and goggles if they are planning on wearing goggles for the swim).
TEAM ENTRY:
For team members, IE those doing swim and run OR bike and run, check out the special instructions on the pre event checklist
Event Timings
7:00 am TRYathlon Site Opens
8.15 am Admin Tent, “CHECK IN”* & Transition & close. All participants must be “CHECKED IN” by this
time & all bikes (along with helmets, and other event gear must be in the Transition Area).
8.30 am Event Briefing starts - This will take place in front of the Weet-Bix container.
9.00 am TRYathlon starts - Please check the information board for the order of age groups & start
times.
The TRYathlon will be followed by a prize-giving, so you should plan to be at the venue until approximately 1pm.
After prize-giving Transition will be opened to allow participants to remove their bikes & belongings.
