Year 7/8 Monday basketball draw -

Basketball at Pioneer begins in the 2nd term, running from 8th May to mid September.

We will be entering a number of teams in the Year 5/6 and 7/8 competitions. There are mixed grades as well as a girls' grade in each of the 5/6 and 7/8 competitions.

Re: Year 5/6,7/8 basketball teams to play at Pioneer Stadium

Dear parent / caregiver

This year we are again entering basketball teams in the weekly basketball competition at PIONEER STADIUM.

We are sending this INFORMATION notice to the parent / caregiver of interested students.

We will be holding trials over the next two weeks.

The teams will be coached at school by Mr. Forman, Mr. Hillary other interested teachers and some of our awesome senior basketballers. Parents will need to organize for their child to get to and from games.

The games begin on May 8th and go through to Sept 25th.

Games last 30 minutes. There are a series of regular games followed by play offs and finals.

Games have a set day of the week. The time of each game is not yet available.

Below is information regarding playing days.

Primary/Intermediate Schools Competition 2015

Competition days and times are as follows

Monday 3.30pm-6.00pm

Yr 7&8 B & C Grades (Mixed)

      

Wednesday 4.45pm-6.45pm

Yr 5&6 A, B Grades (Mixed)

  Thursday 3.30pm-6.00pm

Yr 5&6 C Grades (Mixed), Yr 5&6 Girls Grade

Friday 3.30pm-5.30pm

Yr 7&8 A & B Grades (Mixed), Yr 7&8 Girls Grade

12 rounds of competition (half-hour games)

between the dates May 8th to Sept 25th

Cost of entry: $390 per team

To help with organising teams, could you please indicate (by ticking) the days your child would be able to play.

If you are happy for your child to be part of this team, please sign and have your child return this notice to Room 9 (Mr Forman)  or Room 10 (Mr Hillary).

If you are interested in helping out as manager / coach / taxi, please write your name and a contact phone number. This doesn’t commit you; I just need an idea of where we are placed with parent help.

Please return this notice to Mr Forman in Room 9 or Mr. Hillary in Room 10 by WEDNESDAY 25th March

Please note that this permission indicates your child will be able to take part in the trials. It does not guarantee that they will be part of the team.
